The Democrat
Miss Hannah Gamon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Gamon, died at her home rather suddenly last Monday evening a week ago, September 16th of diabetes.
She had been ailing somewhat since last March, but was not considered dangerous till the Sunday before she died. Everything was done that love and science and skill could do, but to no purpose. She fell asleep in that long sleep Monday night about ten o'clock:
She was just arriving at womanhood and she was a genial, happy girl who had no end of friends and not an enemy in the world.
She was born southeast of town on their old home farm, October 10, 1882. The family moved to town about a year ago. The other children are Mrs. Wm. Saville, Mrs. John Caldwell, Eva, who keeps house for her brother Rowland, and Lizzie, the youngest, who is at home.
The many floral designs and tokens of love from her companions touched the family very deeply, and showed the esteem in which the girl was held. It will be an everlasting comfort to the stricken family.
The funeral was held at Pleasant Hill Wednesday, and was conducted by Rev. Coates.
