Laura Wilson Dies In Oklahoma

Mrs. Laura Wilson, 71, former resident here died Friday in Oklahoma City of a heart condition.

Requiem High Mass was held Tuesday from St. Leo's Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Cornelius O'Connor officiating. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery. Rotary services were held Monday evening.

Music was furnished by the Catholic Church choir. Pallbearers were: Lee Penn, Ed Cook, A. F. DeCastro, Gaylord Anderson, Leonard DeGering and Robert Scott.

Laura Isabell Sheridan was born May 30, 1893 the daughter of Joe and Effie Sheridan in Kittanning, Pa. She attended St. Mary's Catholic School in Muskogee, Okla., and St. Francis De Sales School in Lincoln, Neb. In 1914 she homesteaded in the Hat Creek Area.

She married Marvin Wilson and they lived in Lusk until 1937 when they moved to Casper. She lived in Casper until two years ago when she moved to Oklahoma City to make her home with her son, Howard Wilson, and family.

She is survived by three sons, Marvin Wilson Jr. of Casper, Howard Wilson of Oklahoma City and William J. Wilson; four daughters, Mrs. Gene Adams and Mrs. Kenneth Miller of Denver, Mrs. Skip Anderson of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Sister Mary Lauren of Ft. Dodge, Iowa; two brothers, James Allen Sheridan and John E. Goddard of Hat Creek; one sister, Mrs. Helena Wilson of Vancouver, Wash; and 22 grandchildren.
