Ralph Eugene Anderson, 59, Oskaloosa, died Monday, Nov. 22, 1993, at a Lawrence hospital.

Mr. Anderson was a welder in the maintenance department at Clinton Reservoir for the Army Corps of Engineers the past 12 years. He previously owned and operated the Anderson Saw Mill in rural Oskaloosa and the Anderson Body Shop in Oskaloosa from 1969 to 1985. He had worked from 1961 to 1972 for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. at Topeka.

He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War.

He was born July 8, 1934, in Jackson County, the son of Arthur and Gladys Utterback Anderson. He lived in Oskaloosa since 1966 and formerly lived in Holton.

Mr. Anderson was a life member of Headquarters Post No. 58 of the American Legion in Topeka and Meriden Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 10815 in Meriden.

He was married to Theresa M. Pappan Feb. 25, 1957, at Holton. She survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Brenda Anderson, Omaha, Neb.; a son, Michael L. Anderson, Oskaloosa; two sisters, Flo Faunce, Dennison, and Marjorie Parker, Columbus, N.M.; and three brothers, Wilbur H. Anderson and Arthur L. Anderson, both of Holton and Lawrence Anderson, Jamestown, N.Y.

Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Barnett Funeral Home, Oskaloosa. Military graveside services were conducted by Larner-Segraves American Legion Post No. 36, Oskaloosa, at Pleasant View Cemetery in Oskaloosa. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
