Margie Beulah Queen, 90, of Justice, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and to join her loved ones waiting for her in heaven on Saturday, December 26, 2009, from Carolyn's Care Home at Verner.
Born at Mallory on August 1, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Preston and Emily Bailey Perry.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Pershing Brooks; her three brothers: Walter, Warren, and Leonard Perry; and her four sister: Essie Perry Morgan, Ocie Perry Browning, India Perry Blankenship, and Frieda Perry Lane.
Margie was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend. She loved spending time with her family, going to church, and being with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church at Justice and a homemaker. She always had a beautiful smile and a warm hug for everyone. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to love and cherish her memory are: her loving husband, Ira "Boss" Queen of Justice; her three sons: Vaughn (Joan) Queen of Justice, Sherwood (Marcella) Queen of Justice, and Johnny (Shirley) Brooks of Bealeton VA; her daughter, Sheila (Cletis) Browning of Hanover.
Friends may call at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert on Tuesday, December 29th from 6 to 9 pm with a service at 7 pm.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 30th, at the First Missionary Baptist Church at Justice with the Rev. Jim Nagy and the Rev. Jackie Lester officiating.
Burial will follow in the Justice Community Cemetery at Justice.
She will be carried to her final resting place by her grandsons: Wesley, Shawn, and Chad Queen, Adam Browning, and Scott Brooks, and a special friend, Robert Billups.
Honorary pallbearer will be Terry Hamrick.
