The Death of Mrs. Startzel
Caroline, wife of William J Startzel, a daughter of the late John Stine, of Mount Carmel, died at her home in West Pittston yesterday. She was operated upon recently in the City Hospital at Wilkes-Barre, and two cancerous internal tumors were removed. She could not survive the shock of the operation and was taken to her home in a dying condition.
Mrs. Startzel, was one of Mount Carmel's best known residents, prior to the removal of the family to Audenreid about ten years ago. She enjoyed the profound respect of all who knew her, and her death is regretted by all. The family moved to West Pittston last year, where Mr. Startzel is engaged as inside foreman.
The immediate survivors are the husband and two children, Ruth, aged 18 years, and Ira, aged 16. Surviving brothers and sisters are Frank, David, George, Sadie, Joseph, Charles, Edward, and Howard Stine, and Mrs. Robert Camp.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
