Jimmy Ray Hipp, 70, died Thursday, May 24, 2012, at his Home.

He Graduated from Thaxton High School.

He was employed at Air Cap Manufacturing for several years.
He had a Special Love for Law Enforcement and worked for the Pontotoc County Sheriff's Office as a Jailer and Dispatcher most of his working life.
After Retirement he was still a Marshal for the Toccopola Community.

He was an Active Member and Deacon of Laodicea Primitive Baptist Church at Lafayette Springs in Lafayette County.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc.
Bro. Steve Weaver and Bro. Tommy Inmon will Officiate.
Burial will follow in the Thaxton Cemetery.
Tutor Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include Sister, Peggy Hipp McCarter and Wife, Terry; Niece, Jan McCarter Patterson and Husband, Tracy; Nephew, Mark A. McCarter and Wife, Sandra; Great Niece, Anna Patterson; four Great Nephews, Matt McCarter and Wife, Sarah Beth; Drew McCarter, Aubrey Patterson and Blake Patterson.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Cleveland L. Hipp; his Mother, Lillian Rea Hipp; Brother-Baby Boy Hipp; and Step Mother, Kathleen Harmon Hipp.

Pallbearers will be Robert Embry, Ken Goodrich, Ross Brown, Jerry Coleman, Bart Ratliff and Billy Berry.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Walker and All Law Enforcement Members.

Memorials may be made to a Charity of the Donor's Choice.
