Adams, Robert Edward, 74, retired from the International Department of Phillips Petroleum Company, died Monday, July 5, 2004. Service will be held Thursday, July 8 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cleora Baptist Church, Cleora, Oklahoma. Interment will be at 3 p.m. at the Pawhuska City Cemetery, Pawhuska, Oklahoma.
Born June 15, 1930 at Denoya, Oklahoma to Henry (Hank) and Mamie (Williams) Adams. Robert graduated from Pawhuska High School with the class of 1948. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a degree in Business Administration. Robert worked for Phillips Petroleum Commpany in Bartlesville for 30 years, working in Belize, British Honduras; Madrid, Spain; Alexandria, Egypt; The Hague, Holland; and Stavanger, Norway. He is survived by his wife, Jo Buck Adams, a son Robert (Hank) Adams and wife, Christy, grandchildren, Noah Adams and Emily Adams, step-daughter, Lori Buck; brother Ray Adams of Fritch, Texas, sister, Juanita (Adams) Newby and husband, Paul of Vinita, Oklahoma; and many nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Wanda Jean (Crawford) Adams, a sister, Irene (Adams) Losornia; and his parents, Henry D. & Mamie Marie (Williams) Adams.
