Sibley - Funeral services for James Allen Lites, 86, who died at his home here Friday morning, were held at the chapel of the Dennis funeral home Saturday afternoon withe Rev D O Christian, pastor of the Sibley Baptist church, and Rev Loy New of Bernice officiating. Interment was made in New Hope cemetery in Athens.
Mr Lites was one of Sibley's oldest residents, having lived here since 1913, and had been a member of the Baptist church since early manhood.
Besides his wife, Mrs Mary Frances Stevens [Stephens] Lites, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs Annie Carroll of Sibley, and two sons, Colie Lites of Rayville and Emory Lites of Minden one brother, W A Lites, of Pine Bluff, Ark, and seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
