In this section of Lakewood Cemetery the graves were basically dug as one long trench which was filled in as needed for graves and then a numbered marker was placed at the grave. The marker would later be replaced by the gravestone. An employee of the cemetery dug several holes until he found the numbered marker, which means no gravestone was placed here.
