Douglas J. Agee, 86, of Broomfield, Colo., died Nov. 6 in Westminster, Colo.
Husband, Dad, Papa, Opa, Papa', Grandpa - first and foremost he was a family man. Doug had a variety of interests and many accomplishments, yet nothing was more important than his family.
He was born Sept. 10, 1924, in Cheyenne. After graduating from Cheyenne's Central High School, he joined the U.S. Air Force to serve his country following Pearl Harbor.
On July 28, 1946, he married Donna Rae Morrison, the love of his life. He attended the University of Wyoming, which prepared him for his lifelong career with Public Service Company of Colorado. He retired as a district manager in 1985.
His caring and generous nature led him into several service-related organizations. He was a member of Acacia Lodge No. 11, El Jebel Shrine, Scottish Rite, Lions Club of Louisville and Gideons International. A man who loved Jesus, he belonged to Fairview Bible Chapel for 35 years.
Sailing, golf, and travel were activities he enjoyed with family and friends.
He was much loved and will be deeply missed by his wife of 64 years, Donna; daughters, Andy Barnett (Jim), Jo Easton and Tye McCarthy (Dennis); grandchildren, Andy, Chris, Kelsea, Richie, Ian, Brian, Joseph, Taylor, Ed and Jacob; great-granddaughter, India Rose; Nan; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Philip; and son-in-law; Rodney Easton.
Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Fairview Bible Chapel, 368 N. 76th St., Boulder.
