Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Dallas attorney and Ellis County rancher, passed away after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer.

He was born in Dallas, Texas, to Hugh Milner Hartson and Marie Francis Gibbs.

His father was a Dallas policeman and Detective who pioneered fingerprint identification and founded this department under Sheriffs Steve Guthrie and Bill Decker.

His great uncle was Robert Teague Milner, who was president of Texas A & M when it was Texas A & M College and who served as a representative in the 20th, 21st, and 22nd session of the Texas Legislature.

Bob grew up in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas and attended Sunset High School, Class of 1947. He was active in drama at Sunset and was a member of the cast of the One-Act Play that won the State Award. He went on to star in many Tennessee Williams' plays at the Margo Jones Theater at Fair Park, where be was a protege of Margo Jones. Bob and his longtime friend and classmate Charlene Dodge were in the first live telecast on Channel 5.

Bob attended Arlington State College (now University of Texas at Arlington) where he continued his acting career.

He received his B.A. Degree from the University of Texas in Austin and graduated Law School in 1956 at Texas where he served as assistant to Dean Page Keeton, who remained his lifelong friend.
