Born & raised in house his grandfather built on 165th St in nyc - anarea that later became the Bronx Proudly served in combat with the US Army during WWI . Spent his early childhood summers in Baltimore with his aunt & uncle . Graduate of DeWitt Clinton High School & New York University School of Engineering before entering the service during WWII. Served in WWII with US Army Corp of Engineers stationed in Korea After the war returned to an Engineering career in field of Radar Navigation Research first with General Precision Laboratories in Pleasantville, N.Y. Moved on to Fairchild Aviation then Grumman Aviation as part of the vast team that helped design amd develop the L.E.M. for NASA


Later worked for US Federal Protective Service as a Systems Analyst and Security Specialist.


Met his future bride Blanche though the Catholic Youth Organization's "Club Dominicana" after World War II . They married on June 28th 1948 . They first lived on North Brothers Island in NYC . Later moved to Puritan Ave in the Bronx then Pleasantville NY and eventually settling on Long Island .


Learned to speak & read Latin as a child . Avid reader who loved mysteries of the sea and modern "science fiction ".


Spent his childhood summers w/ his aunt and uncle in Baltimore MD & and later at his family's summer home in Kent CT
