Wagener, S.C. - Herbert Jeffcoat, 73, of Perry, died unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon. He was the son of the late David and Ida Harley Jeffcoat and was a native of Orangeburg County. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Leo Chavis Hill Jeffcoat, Perry; four sons, James Jeffcoat and Stacy Jeffcoat of Wagener, Menrel Jeffcoat, Tipton, Ind., Herman Jeffcoat, USAF Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Christine Ayers, Bowman; one step son, Jackie Hill, Swansea; three step daughters, Mrs. Norma Chavis, Swansea, Mrs. Marzie Johnson, Miss Agnes Hill, Columbia; one brother, Charlie Jeffcoat; one sister, Mrs. Minor Keadle, Perry; 27 grandchildren, siz great-grandchildren.
