Mrs. Wm. L. Spyres Dies Here Friday
Mrs. Lenora Belle Spyres, 65, Woolsey, died at City hospital Friday afternoon after a
brief illness. Funeral services will be conducted at Baptist Ford Sunday at 10:30 a.
m. by Rev. T. J. Newbill of Fayetteville, assisted by Rev. Carl McClendon of Mena.
The Watson mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Spyres was born in Missouri Jan. 14, 1878, the daughter of Hiram and Sarah
Capps. She was a member of the Baptist church and moved to Woolsey from Mena with her
husband a year ago. She is survived by her husband, William L. Spyres, a retired
employee of the Kansas City Southern railroad, and by four sisters: Mrs. May West of
Gorham, Texas; Mrs. Lula Martin of Springdale; Mrs. Edna Moore of Dickson, Ill., and
Mrs. Vera Burke of Goodman, Mo.
