Dr. H. K. Macomber, one of the oldest residents of Pasadena, as well as one of the most wealthy and prominent men in the city, died at his home on West Colorado street yesterday morning after an illness of but three days. Acute gastritis, aided by a weak heart, was the cause of death. His wife and son, LeRoy Macomber, were the only members of the family present at the time of his death. Dr. Harry Macomber was at the family ranch in the northern part of the State when news of his father's illness reached him. A. Kingsley Macomber, another son, is in Paris with his wife and father-in-law, L. V. Harkness. Dr. Macomber was born in Shelbourn Falls, Mass., July 5, 1842, and moved to Pasadena in 1883.
