Born in Morgan County Kentucky. Mother Norma Dora Little, died at his birth. His father left him and his sister, Candith McClure with his mother-in-law Phoebe Jane Nickell. Robert joined army prior to WWII, and obtained rank of Sargent. Met Ruth Sutliff during service and married.
They had three children in Ohio (Robert, Ronald, and Kenneth), and moved to Oklahoma about 1950 to the Sapulpa - Tulsa area. Ruth worked at Hillcrest Hospital, and Robert worked for McDonald Douglas. They bought a home at 4514 N Hartford, in Tulsa around 1953.
In 1956 they moved to Cody's Bluff in Nowata Oklahoma. Ruth was nurse supervisor of the Nowata Clinic, until it closed down in the 60's. Robert worked on road construction, Sheriff department, oil field, operated Nowata Security Service and a motorcycle shop for several years.
Robert developed a blood clot in the right leg which had to be amputated. He died of a stroke at the Nowata Hospital.
