Gloria H. (Buchanan) Ziemba, 79, of Pottstown, died on Friday, April 27, 2012 at the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Joseph Frank Ziemba Sr., who died in 2005. Born in Birdsboro, she was a daughter of the late Levi and Ethel (Magners) Buchanan. She was a member of St. Peters Roman Catholic Church. For many years Gloria was a stay-at-home mother caring for her seven children. She also worked later in life as a nurse's aide and an aide to the mentally ill. Her interests included crocheting, casino trips and spending time with her family. Survivors include daughters Susan Ziemba-Vecchione, of Pottstown, Linda, wife of Marshall 'Bill" Lawhorne of Stowe; son Thomas Ziemba and wife Deborah, of Sanatoga; daughter-in-law Veronica Lightcap of Exeter; sister Joan (Ludy) Andrus of Michigan; 20 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Bayard Buchanan, Birdsboro; a sister, Carole Buchanan Kline of New Jersey; sons Robert "Tony" Everingham, Exeter, John Joseph Ziemba, Pottstown, and Joseph Frank Ziemba Jr, Phoenixville; and daughter Joanne Everingham of East Greenville. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown.
