Keokuk Ia. July 9-- A. H Bartholomew 74. of 324, South Eleventh street, retired salesman and resident of Keokuk 20 years, died yesterday morning at 4:50 o'clock in his home following three years of failing health and several weeks of serious illness. Born in Golden, Ill., October 31, 1863. Mr. Bartholomew was the son of Aaron H. and Nancy Vincent Bartholomew and spent his early life in Hancock county. Mr. Bartholomew was married to Mary E. Carlin on December 15 1881 and she preceded him in death 22 years ago. He was married to Miss Emma Bollinger in Quincy April 25, 1917 Surviving are his widow five children by his first marriage. T. R. Bartholomew. Mrs. Harry C. Robertson. John G. Bartholomew and Howard W. Bartholomew, all of Keokuk, and Mrs. Charles Swartz of Central, Mo.; 21 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Two sons Charles and Harry L. Bartholomew and two grandchildren preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in Trinity Methodist church.
