Mr. Christensen was born Jan. 1, 1953. He grew up and attended school in Waubun. In 1970, he joined the U.S. Army. He served with the U.S. forces in Vietnam until his 1972 discharge. In November 1972, he married Donna Fabre. They divorced in 1982. He moved to Macon, Ga., and Hinesville, Ga., where he worked as a construction worker and commercial painter. In June 2002, he returned to Minnesota and began working for Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen.
He is survived by three sons, Casey (Lisa), Callaway, Minn., Mikey, Detroit Lakes, Minn., David, Waubun; a daughter, Celeste (Matt) Stalberger, Bemidji, Minn.; three brothers, Merlin (Laura), Jim (Carol), both Waubun, John (Zimmie), Hinesville; a sister, Sandy (Dave) Thompson, Waubun; and five grandchildren.
Visitation: An hour and a half before the funeral in the church.
Funeral: Sunday at 2 in Circles of Faith United Church of Christ.
Burial: Waubun City Cemetery.
