He was retired from Union Carbide Nuclear Division as a draft foreman in the maintenance division at the Oak Ridge K-25 site.
Mr. Terry was a member of the First Baptist Church in Oak Ridge and a life member of the Elks Lodge No. 165 in Virginia for 65 years. According to his family, he loved music and he enjoyed traveling and ball room dancing.
He is survived by his wife, Julia W. Terry; his children, Clyde Terry Jr. and his wife, Brenda of Cincinnati, OH, Jerry Cryor and her husband, Jim, of Cookeville and Dola Faye Thompson and her husband, Jim, of Cleveland, TN; his stepson, Robert McMillion Jr. of Winton, CA; his brother, Curtis Terry of Oak Ridge: and by seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dola Paris Terry.
