Joseph William Hall, age 18 of Brooksville died Saturday, April 10, 2004 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa. Born in Deland, FL and was a lifelong resident of Brooksville. He was an Honor Student at Hernando High School, on the Principals List, loved baseball & school, completed an Externship at Sims Machine & Control of Brooksville. After graduation, he had ambitions to attend school to be an architect. He spoke fluent French and was of the Protestant faith.

Preceded in death by his Grandparents, Julius Clifford and Ruth Y. Batten and Raimond B., Sr. and Lillie Mae Odom Hall, adopted Grandmother, Margie Powell Batten.

Survivors include his Parents: Michael G. & Mandy Batten, 2 brothers, Michael Hall, Jr. and Thomas Hall; a sister Sandi Tafelski; Adopted Grandfather, W.D. Batten; numerous aunts and uncles; 10 nieces & nephews and numerous cousins & friends.

Visitation for friends will be 6-8pm, Fri., April 16, 2004 at the Brooksville Assembly of God Church, where funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm, Sat., April 17, 2004 with Rev. David Garcia officiating. Interment will follow at the Johnson-Batten Cemetery.
