Susan is survived by her mother, Ruth Virginia Dumbacher Beyer; her husband, John Kerry Freeman; her son James Knighten Birch; her daughter Sarah Kathryn Freeman; her stepson John Joshua Freeman (Araceli) and two granddaughters Brielle and Meadow Freeman. Susan is also survived by her sister Janet DiPuccio (Frank); sister Mary Wiseman (Robert); sister Kathleen Riggins; brother Paul (Jane) Beyer; brother Tom (Cathy) Beyer. Susan also left behind nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and great nephews.
Susan courageously battled breast cancer for several years and through it all she never gave up hope. She was strong, brave and enjoyed life in so many ways. Susan was a wonderful human being who never passed judgment or gave up on the ones she loved and those who loved her. Susan loved being a mother and a grandmother.
