Viewing will be Wednesday. , 9 a.m. to 7: 30 p.m. at English Funeral Chapel In Coeur d'Alene. Rosary will be held at English Funeral Chapel, Coeur d'Alene, at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 27 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 625 Haycraft, Coeur d'Alene.

Eloise Harriet (James) Scheetz was born in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho on September 16, 1912. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 23, 2006. Her parents were Frank A. James and Mary Louise Herbert James. She grew up in a home in the area that used to be known as Springwater in Coeur d'Alene.

Eloise had a long career as a school teacher beginning in 1932 in a one-room schoolhouse at Northpole, Idaho (near Athol). She taught for many years at Harding Elementary on 15th Street.

On June 8, 1940, Eloise married Willard A. Scheetz. They made their home in Coeur d'Alene and were married for 54 years, until Willard passed away in 1994.

Eloise was very artistic and enjoyed oil painting and making crafts. She was a member of the CDA Arts & Crafts Association and she was also a member of the Garden Club. She was a very active lady and participated in Art on the Green for many years. She entered into rest within a week of her long-time friend and fellow teacher, Mary Ann Dunnigan, who also taught at Harding School.

Eloise is survived by her nephews Jack C. Durdy of Coeur d'Alene,Jerry James of Glendale, AZ, Frederick B. Scheetz of Seattle, WA, Raymond B. Scheetz of Edmonds, WA, Nicholas B. Scheetz of Washington, DC and Stephen W. Scheetz of Arlington Heights, IL; nieces Mary Lou Ott of Cheney, WA, Patricia Rosauer of Sacramento, CA, Marjorie Dunkle of Coeur d'Alene, Elizabeth C. (Scheetz) von Doemming of Medina, TX and Astrid C. (Scheetz) Martindale of Wadsworth, IL.

Thank you to all the caring people at Betty Atkinson's Adult Residential Home, where Eloise spent the last four years, especially Betty, Dixie and Susie for your loving kindness toward Eloise. A special thank you to Butch Stoddard who was not only Eloise's friend, but he oversaw every aspect of her care and welfare for many years.
