Born July 6, 1935 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Charles Kenneth and Lizzie Kate Jarrett Scronce. He was retired from Overnite Transportation after 40 years.
Mr. Scronce enjoyed farming, gardening, canning and loved visiting with his friends and family.
A service of remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Plateau United Methodist Church in Vale NC. Rev. Bobby Petree will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home in Newton. The family will receive condolences at the home of Tony and Nichole Sigmon.
Memorials may be made to Palliative Care Center and Hospice of Catawba Valley, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658.
