ALIDA KNAPP DIES AT DAUGHTER'S HOME
Oneida- June 10- Mrs. Alida Knapp, 81, passed away Saturday at 2 o'clock in the afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Minnie Johnston in Peoria. Death was due to complications Alida Nelson Knapp was born in Smoland, Sweden, Sept 19, 1858. She was 19 years old when she came to America.
On March 7, 1885 she was united in marriage to Frank Knapp in Galesburg. He preceded her in death Dec 11, 1933. The folllowing children survive: a daughter Mrs Minnie Johnston of Peoria; four sons, Frank Knapp of Rock Island, and Charlie, George and John of Oneida. A daughter, Mrs Mary Behrens, died in 1927 and a son in infancy.
Also surviving are two sisters, Matilda Erickson, Lena Berggren and one brother Carl Nelson.
