S/o Eleazer Perry and Bathsheba Clapp. He married Abigail H. Whitney Set. 3, 1833. They had two daughters - Hannah Faxon Perry and Maria Louisa Josephine Perry. They lived in Medfield and Roxbury. He died the day before his 36th birthday of fever.

The Leland Magazine or a Genealogical Record of Henry Leland and his Descendants, by Sherman Leland; Boston: Printed by Wier & White, 1850; pages 217-218; "Elbridge G. Perry. son of Eleazer Perry, was born in Medfield, Mass., and spent about thirty years of his life there, including his infancy, childhood, and early manhood. And during the last six of seven years of his life he lived in Roxbury, Mass. Before he was thirty years of age he was chosen a colonel in the Militia and held the office for several years, and while he resided in Roxbury, he held several responsible offices in the department of the city police and he was also a member of the board of the overseers of the poor. He took an active and efficiant part in the temperance reform, and was much respected among the people of his acquaintance."
