Obituary of Mrs. Hulda Rials~~~ Provided by Bettie Rials Hoch (granddaughter)

It is with truly a saddened heart that we are called upon
to chronicle the death of our friend and neighbor, Mrs. Hulda Rials of Reynard, consort of the late Rafe Rials who preceded her in the great beyond, some twenty years ago.

She was born in Green County, Alabama Nov 4, 1861, removing to Texas with her parents when a small girl.

Mrs. Rials passed away at the home of her son, Oran Rials, on Wednesday night, June 21, 1922, after an illness of short duration. (Typhoid Fever)

In her death the scripture is but fulfilled: "O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? Death
was only to fall asleep in the arms of her Savior with a full knowledge of a well spent life on earth. The grave only claims a cold and lifeless body, while the soul of that earthly temple has returned to the god that gave it and is now singing praises around the heavenly throne.

She was ever known as a loving wife, a tender and thoughtful mother, a true and loyal friend---the three great principles of life. Nothing we can say will add to her loving memory in which she will ever be held by her loved ones and friends.

In early life she accepted Christ as her Savior and united with the Methodist church. She ever lived as though Christ was a personal friend walking through life with her, directing each act of the hand and thought of the heart.

One of the largest crowds ever witnessed at the Daly Cemetery was present at the funeral and the grave was entirely covered with beautiful floral offerings---silent but beautiful messengers of thought from those who loved her.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Johnnie Allen, two sons, Oran and Sumner Rials, one brother J.L. Chiles and a number of grandchildren.

She is gone. She shall hunger no more, neither thirst: neither the sun light on her, nor any heat, for the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed her and lead her to the living fountain of water, and God shall wipe all tears from her eyes. Redeemed she is with the Lord, and everlasting joy shall be upon her head and sorrow will be no more. She is dead, but alive in Jesus evermore. Death is revealed unto us with friendlier familiarity. We can only say: Mother, Grandmother, sister, and friend we will soon---quite soon---almost immediately join thee, and so shall be forever with the Lord.
