Willie "Gail" Perry was the son of Samuel Elmer Perry, a farmer in the sandhills of Braggs who died in 1926, and Minnie Mae Harris who was left to raise 5 children after Samuel's death. Gail at the age of 12 had to quit school to take over the family farming duties.

Gail met his future wife, Sarah "Janie" Evans at church in 1934 and they were married on 4 Jul 1935. They had 3 children: Eleanor b. in the spring of 1936, Arlie Gus born in the spring of 1939, and Budo Doyle b. Oct 1943 who married Anna Sue.

Gail was a farmer, and at one time farmed 3 farms! He farmed for 53 years until he retired in 1979. He won several highest yeild awards in corn, soybeans, and grain production throughout the years and served on the OK Farm Bureau Board.

Gail also served over 30 years as an Elder in the Fort Gibson Church of Christ.
