Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 am CST Friday, June 1, 2012 at Queen of all Saints Catholic Church, 606 So. Woodland Ave., Michigan City with her nephew Rev. Joseph Pawlowski officiating. Burial will follow in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Michigan City. Visitation hours will be Friday from 9am till 10:30am CST in the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City.
She is survived by her only son, Ken Rathnow and his wife Laura Guissinger; grandson Ben Rathnow all of Louisville, Kentucky; sister Gertie McNeal and niece Donna McNeal of Pineville, Louisiana. Also surviving Georgia are many loving nieces and nephews who are originally from Michigan City Indiana; they include Susie Layman, Father Joe Pawlowski, Jim Pawlowski, Tom Pawlowski, Steve Rathnow and Cindy Rathnow and all their spouses and children. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Albert Rathnow and her dear grandson, Sam Rathnow.
