Earle F. Knapp, 87, died Dec. 9, 2005, in Gig Harbor, Wash. He was born Nov. 16, 1918, in Winston.
Earle had many career accomplishments, among them a gas station and car dealership in Townsend. He spent his retirement in Arizon, Mexico and at his ranch at Duck Creek near Townsend.
He is survived by Mary, his wife of 66 years; four children, Robert, Diann, Randy and Rick; sisters, Elda and Stattie; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31, at Heaven of Rest Funeral Home in Gig Harbor. Memorials suggested to a Parkinson or Alzheimer's disease association or charity of choice.
