Mrs. Mary Watterberg of Vauxhall, beloved wife of the late Mr. Charles Watterberg, passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 1976 at the age of 85 years.
The late Mary Inga Hult Watterberg was born on May 12, 1890 at Wolverton, Minnesota. She taught school in Minnesota for six years. She married Charles Watterberg, June 20, 1916 and came to Retlaw to live on a farm in the New West District where she resided until 1963 at which time they moved to Vauxhall. In 1973, she moved back to New West to live in a mobile home on the Bell farm.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Russell (Beryl) Bell of Vauxhall, Miss Norma Watterberg of South Bend, Indiana, and Mrs. Eugene (Marion) Heikes of Fort Collins, Colorado, one son, Robert of Calgary, one brother, Harold Hult of Hunter, North Dakota, 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband in 1973, two sisters, and two brothers.
The funeral service will be held in Parkview United Church on Saturday, March 20th, at 3:30 p.m. with Deaconess Alveen McKay officiating. Interment to follow in the Vauxhall Cemetery. In lieu of flowers those who wish may donate to the Alberta Heart Fund in care of Oddies Central Drugs in Taber or to the charity of their choice.
