Life-time community farmer, Fred Mueller, 73, Roca, was admitted to Bryan Hospital on Tuesday. Mr. Mueller passed away September 2. He is survived by his wife, Else, daughter, Winifred Yant and two grandchildren of Independence, Missouri, four sisters, Martha Brandt, Hanna Irwin, and Ann Gradoville, all of California and Sophia Sittler of rural Martell.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Francis Schmidt at Hodgman-Splain-Roberts Chapel at 3:30 p.m. on September 5 with burial at Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were Ernest Lorenzen, Dale Lorenzen, Frank Engelbart, John Fiedler, John Aljenbruns, and Louis Reiss.
Arriving from California for the funeral were Mrs. Hanna Irwin, Mrs. Martha Brandt, and Richard Kossek. His daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Don Yant and two children arrived prior to his death.
