Daniel and wife Malinda (Johnson) came from Wilson Co., TN bef. 1860 with 2 children and Malinda's Johnson family to then Taney Co., MO, later Douglas Co., MO. On 22 Feb 1871 Daniel was issued Homestead Patent #4930 for 80 acres adj. the John F. Johnson homestead where the Johnson Cemetery was laid out and where both Daniel and wife are buried.
