Obituary: Paralysis. Suffered Week Ago By Mrs. Effie T. Dobson Proved Fatal Tuesday Evening. Funeral Occur Thursday. Mrs. Effie T. Dobson, aged 44 years, wife of J. W. Dobson, North R street, died at her home following an illness of one week. She was stricken with paralysis while at her house work a week ago Tuesday and her condition ever since that time had been quite serious. She was born in Lawrence county, near Springville and had resided in this city for a number of years. She is survived by the husband and two children, Raymond and Lewis. Funeral services will be conducted rom the home at 10 o'clock Thursday forenoon. Burial will be at Green Hill. Services will be in charge of the Ben Hur, Rebekahs and Pocahontas Orders. Effie's mother was married three times. Cassindia married her second husband, James the s/o Abraham Wagoner 1809-1855 and Mary Bridges 1813-1896, in 1857. Cassindia and James were the parents of seven children. According to Cassindia's obituary all of her children except James preceded her in death. Cassindia first married Jacob Kinder. (The Jacob that married Cassinda Smith on 4-16-1855 was born 1835 to John P. Kinder and Rebecca McReynolds. He died 10-4-1856 (Mortality schedule of Martin Co.)
