Until two years prior to her death, Bertha lived in Jackson Twp., north of Hoytville. She suffered from a heart ailment. Her obituary noted that she had been in frail health for many years and spent the last years of her life with her sister, Rosa Hinesman, in Weston.
The Rev. John Osborn of the Wauseon Church of God officiated at Bertha's funeral service.
