William Otis Marney

William Otis Marney, 59, of 410 Burgess, died Friday in a Topeka hospital after a heart attack.

He was born January 15, 1893, in Belvue and had been an employee of the Santa Fe signal department 31 years. He had lived in Topeka 18 years. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bessie Marney of the home; three step-children, Norman Humphrey, Topeka, Mrs. Dorothea Love, Beaver Dam, Wis., and Mrs. Lucille Child, Monteray Park, Calif.; three brothers, Joe Marney, Topeka, Ivan and Ben Marney, both of Rossville; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Lillard, Rossville, and Mrs. Jennie Austin, Wichita; and 11 grandchildren.

Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
