Houser, one of the most highly esteemed citizens of Houston county, died at his home near Grovania last Sunday afternoon. He was attacked with measles on Friday, the 3rd of January, but within a week he was convalescent from that disease. Afterward he had high fever, and we are told that the internal breaking of an abscess produced blood-poison, from which he died. The body...was brought to Perry Monday afternoon, and in Evergreen Cemetery the interment took place. Mr. Houser was 39 years old the day just prior to his death. He was the second son of the late J. O. A. Houser...Of his immediate family only one son, Eugene, aged about 11 years, survives him, but his aged mother, three brothers and a sister also sorely mourn his death.
