COLUMBIA - IVA M. DORR, 90, died Feb. 21, 1991, at a Milbridge health care center after a long illness. She was born in Columbia Falls, July 26, 1900, teh daughter of Forrester and Lettie Grant. She was a meber of teh Little River Methodist Church, Columbia, a charter member of the United Methodist Women, and a member of the Mailey Hill Cemetery Association. After raising 12 children of her own, Mrs. Dorr raised her oldest son, Shirley's and his wife, Gertrude's three children, Maynard, Kenneth and Joanne. She will always be remembered by her children and grandchildren as a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Dorr is survived by two sons, Embert Dorr of Harrington, Robert Dorr of Portland; eight daughters, Mrs. Forest (Arlene) Atwater of Unionville, Mrs. Willis (Eleanor) Chipman, Mrs. Philip (Betty) Chipman, both of Milbridge, Mrs. Eugene (Barbara) Pinkham of Cherryfield, Mrs. Horace (Wilma) Newcomb, Mrs. Lennox (Laura) Ramsay, mrs. Clifton (Leona) Feeney, all of Addison, Mrs. Philip (Donna) Snyder of Portland; 51 grandchildren, 85 great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Benjamin E. Dorr in 1978; two sons, Albert Dorr of Columbia Falls and Shriley Dorr of Columbia; one daughter, Mrs. Barney (Gertrude) Smith fo Cherryfield. Relatives and friends may call at Campbell Funeral Home, Cherryfield, 2-8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23 Funeral services will be held from Little River Church, Columbia, 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, with the Rev. Bernard Brown officiating. Burial will be in Mailey Hill Cemetery Columbia. Friends who wish may make donations in her memory to teh Little River Church, Columbia, care of Mr. Kenneth Grant, treasurer.
