Wilma Underwood Allen, 94 of Middlebourne, died Monday, September 27, 2010 at the New Martinsville Care and Rehabilitation Center after an extended illnes. She was born March 19, 1916, to the late Sadie Belle Coe Underwood and Hiram Dudley Underwood of Tyler County.
Mrs Allen was a member of the Middlebourne United Methodist Church as well as Eastern Star and Daughters of the American Revolution.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Eward ( Buck ) Allen; her infant daughter, Barbara Sue Allen; her brothers Wilfred Underwood of Alma and Dudley Underwood of Phoenix, AZ.
She is survived by her son William E. Allen ( Diana ) of Hurricane, WV; granddaughters Barbara Allen Samples ( Michael ) of Virginia Beach, VA; and Jodi Beth Allen of Burlington, MA. Also surviving is one great-grandson, Michael Scott Samples also of Virginia Beach, VA.
Friends will be received at the Furbee Funeral Home, Middlebourne, Thursday 11 - 1 pm the time of the service. Interment in Middlebourne Cemetery, Middlebourne.
