Thomas Evan Siller was born June 4, 1858 in Campbell county, Tennessee and departed this life, July 30, 1936, aged 78 years, 1 month and 26 days.

He moved with his parents to Texas county, Missouri in 1881 where he was united in marriage to Miss Anna Rutliff in 1887. To this union 8 children were born.

He is survived by his widow, 5 daughters, Mrs. Rachel Moyer and Mrs. Bessie Garkill of Eugene, Oregon, Mrs. Gloria Newton of Ozark, Mrs. Eva Britton of Riverdale, Kansas, and Mrs. Letha Winn of Los Angeles, California, and 3 sons, Audrey of Joplin and Joe and Luther of Hanford, California, and several grand and great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by one brother, Hiram Siler of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and two sisters, Mrs. Melva Hodge of Kansas City and Sue Moyer of Iola, Kansas.

He was converted and joined the Missionary Baptist church at the age of 42 years of which faith he lived until his death.

Funeral services were conducted in the Sparta Baptist church Saturday, August 1,1936 at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. J.M. Applegate officiating. Burial was made in the Sparta Cemetery under the direction of the B.C. Klepper Funeral Home of Ozark.
