Death Call Fine Young Man
Mr. and Mrs. A.E. Kyle, Mrs. Homer Rogers and Mrs. Ella Irwin were called to Elwood Monday morning by the serious illness of their nephew, Raymond Whitehead, who passed away later the same day. Death followed an operation for sinus trouble, and he had been ill but six days. He died at the Elwood hospital.
The young man was the oldest son of Arthur Whitehead and was 18 year of age. Born on a farm near Remington, he was six months old when the family moved away. He graduated from the Elwood schools this last spring and was considered a fine, upright young man in every way. Two younger brothers, Glenn and Lowell survive.
The funeral was held this Thursday afternoon at Elwood.
