Lorraine Alice Mark, 75 of Towanda, died Tuesday, December 23 at her home. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, Dec. 29 at Towanda United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Towanda Cemetery.
She was born July 18, 1933 in Newell, South Dakota, the daughter of Lawrence J. and Mina Alice (Dutton) Sanger. Lorraine was a homemaker and after graduating from High School attended Nursing School for a year. She was a member of Towanda United Methodist Church, and taught Sunday School for 20 years. She loved to read, sew, bake and do yard work.
On August 10, 1952 Lorraine and Earl Mark were united in marriage in Emporia.
Those she leaves including her husband of the home are children Diane Mark, Denver, CO.; Karen Reynolds and husband Mike, El Dorado; Ronald Mark and wife Natalie, Rapid City, S.D.; David Mark and wife Jill, Denver, CO. A brother Larry Sanger of Spring City, UT.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Johnnie and a sister Sharon.
In Lieu of flowers the family would like memorials for either the Salvation Army or Towanda United Methodist Church. These may be left with Carlson Funeral Home where friends may call.
