George Zinos Rites
The funeral for George (Pete) C. Zinos, 38, of 1406 Mathys Rd., who died Wednesday, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Gunderson Funeral Home, 5203 Monona Dr., where friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today and the rosary will be said at 8 p.m.
Born in Madison, he was a sandal maker for the Village Bootery Co. He was a disabled veteran of the Korean War and a member of the VFW Post 7591.
Surviving are his wife, the former Peggy White; two daughters, Robin and Heather, both at home; his father, George, Milwaukee; his mother, Mrs. Henry Tapendorf, 2310 Sommers Ave.; a brother Philip, Milwaukee; two sisters, Betty Jane Tapendorf, Madison, and Mrs. Arthur Herrera, Milwaukee; and his grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Braun, 540 W. Olin Ave.
