Edward J. Corr, 77 of 33 Worcester Street, died suddenly Friday at Morton Hospital. He was the husband of the late Margaret M. (Lamoureaux) Corr. Educated in Taunton schools he was employed by the Clearfloat Corporation until retiring in 1978 as a foreman. He was a communicant of St. Paul's Church, a former member of Taunton Lodge of Elks No. 150, and a member of St. Paul's Holy Name Society. An avid golfer, he belonged to the Herring Run Golf Association. Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late Edward T. and Catherine (McDermott) Corr. Survivors include two sons, Edward L. Corr of Taunton and Richard J. Corr of Quechee, VT; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret M. Ross of Spartansburg, SC, and Carol A. Majkut of East Taunton; three brothers, John Corr, William Corr and Francis Corr all of Taunton; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild and several nephews and nieces.
