Howard Ray Leicht, 74, a retired Venetian
blind installer, died of brain cancer
Thursday at Ruby Memorial Hospital in
Morgantown, W.Va.

Born in Berkley Springs, W.Va., Mr. Leicht
lived in Glen Burnie since the late 1940s
before moving to Rowlesburg, W.Va. in 1983.
He worked at a Baltimore-based manufacturer
of Venetian blinds for most of his adult
life after serving in France with the Army
during World War II.

After his first wife, Michele, died,
Mr. Leicht married Dessie Phillips in 1971.
The couple divorced in 1988.

Mr. Leicht is survived by a daughter,
Marie Theresa Leicht of Glen Burnie; a brother,
George Alvin Leicht of Baltimore; a sister,
Anna M. Krasnesky of Baltimore; a sister-in-law,
Olive Sorenson of Rowlesburg;
and 19 nieces and nephews.
