George Harmon

South Bend – George Harmon, 70, of Pompano Beach, Fla., formerly of South Bend, died at 6:02 p.m. Friday in North Broward Medical Center, Pompano Beach. Mr. Harmon retired as a self-employed machine designer. He was born July 17, 1921, in South Bend. His wife Leona Harmon preceded him in death.

He is survived by two sons, Brent of Coral Springs, Fla., and Bruce of Spring, Texas; seven grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. He was a member of South Bend Masonic Lodge.

Graveside services and burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pompano Beach. There will be no visitation. Forest Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
