Earl A. Tavener, 51, formerly of Rosenberg, passed away Sunday, February 17, in Tucson, Ariz.

Funeral services were held in the Adair Funeral Home in Tucson. Interment was by the Adair Crematorium.

Mr. Tavener is survived by his wife, Mrs. Phyllis Tavener; two sons, Gary Tavener and Danny Tavener, all of Tucson, Ariz.; his mother, Mrs. Agnes Tavener of Rosenberg; one brother, Tex N. Tavener of Rosenberg; and one sister, Mrs. Glen D. Brown of Los Angeles, Calif.

Mr. Tavener was born and reared in the Tavener community and for 24 years made his home in Rosenberg. He was employed by the Duval Sulphur Company of Orchard, and Duval Copper Company of Tucson, Ariz. for 26 years.

He and his family made their home in Tucson for the past eight months.
