She was born September 26, 1951 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to the late Jauhree and Edward Kirby.
On June 3rd, 1970 she married the love of her life, James Helton Sr. and together they had two wonderful sons that she loved very much.
She was a longtime employee of COMCO in Lake Dallas, Texas. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and she delighted in her grandchildren and great-grand daughter. She enjoyed watching football and she was a huge Oklahoma Sooners fan. She loved family get togethers and socializing.
Debbie is survived by her husband, James Helton Sr.; two sons, James Helton Jr. and Jason Helton; two grandsons, David "DJ" Helton and James "Trey" Helton; three granddaughters, Melissa , Nancy, and Victoria "Tori" Helton; and one great-granddaughter, Isabella Helton. She's also survived by her brother, Mark Kirby.
She will always be remembered and loved as "Nanny" by her grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday, June 7, 2012 in the Brooks Family Chapel of the North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.
A funeral service will be held June 8, 2012 at 10:00 am, with an early viewing and visittion at 9:00 am. Burial to follow at the Little Elm Cemetery.
