Alfred A. Konitzer, 80, of 5821 Highway 34, Rudolph, died Sat.evening, May 23, 2009, at Saint Joseph's Palliative Care in Marshfield.

Grave-side services will be at 11 a.m. Wed. in the Arpin Cemetery with full military rites by the Vesper American Legion Post No. 520.

Alfred was born Dec. 5, 1928, in Milwaukee County to Bernard and Louise (Krause) Konitzer. He was a Korean War veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. Alfred was married to Betty Lou McFarland. The marriage ended in divorce. He worked at building construction and Consolidated Papers Inc. until his retirement. Alfred loved to work restoring his 1925 Model T.

Survivors include his two sisters, Cecelia (Howard) Frank of Sun.vale, Calif., and Catherine (John) Frank of Lake Forest, Calif.; sister-in-law, Mary Anne Konitzer of Arpin; and several nieces and nephews.

Alfred is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Gerald C. Konitzer.
