Marcella Nellie Marsh, age 68 of Wadena, was born to her parents Frank & Gladys (Stokes) Marsh on July 25, 1935 in Hewitt, Minn. She passed away as the result of an automobile accident on Oct. 31st near Sisseton, SD.
Marcella was united in marriage to Charles R. Chase on February 10, 1954 in Detroit Lakes. She worked as a sales clerk in retail clothing. Charlie and Marcie have lived in Wadena for past seven years. Prior to that they also lived in Rawlins, WY - Lancaster, CA - Casper, WY - Omaha, NE & San Antonio, TX. Marcie was very active in her church at Wadena.
Marcie was preceded in death by her father Frank; sons C. Richard and Robbie; daughter Angela and brother Edward. She is survived by her husband Charles; her mother Gladys; daughters Monica (Ron) Ostermann of Moorhead & Carol (Gary) Holweger of Grafton, ND; 5 grandchildren; brother Alfred (Irene) Marsh of Wheaton; sisters Elvira Branstner of Gardnerville, NV, Zelta (Robert) Koenig of Fargo, Beverly Sundvall of Apple Valley, Darlene Hauschild of St. Cloud & Ida Mae Lasic Penryn, CA.
Memorial services will be held Friday, Nov. 14, at 11:00am at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wadena with Pastor Marilyn Breckenridge and Pastor Jonathan Larson officiating. Friends may call at the church one prior to the service.
